UX agency London
Our London office is located in Blackfriars, near Southbank. We collaborate with our clients to reimagine their user interfaces including websites, mobile apps, web apps and other software. We also deliver UX design as part of large digital transformation projects for clients such as Cole & Son, RSL Awards, Powerleague and Give a Grad A Go where they are looking to undertake large technology change which requires an overhaul of their user experience and interface designs.
What is user experience design?
User experience design (UX design) seeks to improve the performance of user interfaces by using data and insights to reimagine the user journeys and page structures. For example, Powerleague needed to improve their booking system to reduce friction and increase their revenue. UX designers tend to be strategic and data-focused. It’s not so much about how the interface looks as how it performs and how easy and intuitive it is for users to complete a task.
What is user interface design?
User interface design (UI design) is more focused on the final design of an interface and how it looks. UI designers create beautiful design systems that are a bit like brand guidelines but for interfaces. The outcome of a UI project is a library of styled components that can be used by developers and marketers to continue to grow the website, mobile app, web app or interface.
UI design tends to be more strategic and systematic than a normal website or graphic design process, and they mostly work with Product Managers rather than Marketing Managers and Directors.

How does UX design compare to web design?
Although there is a lot of overlap between web design and UX design, typically website design focuses more on the aesthetic of a website than on the performance. Website designers consider SEO, branding, copywriting and the visual look and feel, whereas UX designers consider the way that a user will interact with digital interface. An example we use to describe this is cars. You can immediately tell when you’re in an expensive car but the way the car looks is only one part of what makes it feel expensive. The rest comes from the broader experience – the door is heavy to open, features of the car automatically open as you enter the car, and so on.
Why UX design matters?
UX design is important to businesses that are looking to improve their customer satisfaction, increase efficiencies and drive engagement. Market leading products tend to be the ones that are easiest to use and have typically invested heavily in UX design.
Why tools are used to deliver UX and UI design?
Our UX agency London uses Figma and Adobe XD to deliver our designs. We may compliment this with an interactive brief to fully showcase the animated elements of the designs.
Do I need UX design or UI design?
Most businesses will undertake both UX and UI design as part of a single project.
