The advertising market continues to recover with predictions of £20bn to be spent in 2015 with booming growths in online advertising.  The latest report from Advertising Association states that last year £17.9bn was spent on advertising alone, which equates to a 3.9 per cent increase year on year.

£6,300m of this final figure was spent purely on Internet advertising; a 15.9 per cent increase from the previous year.

The report details that mobile advertising has grown 95.2% year on year but is set to double again by 2015 to £2596m, it will be the fastest growing ad medium throughout 2015.  This is assumed to be due to the rise of consumers using smartphones and tablets.

Tim Lefroy, Advertising Association chief stated that “The forecast explosion in mobile advertising and digital formats point to UK advertising at the centre of a global revolution in consumer information, service and choice”
