Instagram’s new “Handbook for Brands” aims to show marketers how they can get the most out of the site and capitalise on its millions of users.
The photo-sharing app, which was purchased by Facebook in April 2012, has released an online guide which outlines various tips and tricks for brands to utilise in their own multimedia campaigns.
Instagram’s new book will feature the site’s own brand values along with several pointers for boosting engagement, including its ten most-popular hashtags.
A taster video titled ‘Instagram for Business’, found at marketingweek.co.uk, is also included in the guide and details five tips for brands looking to increase engagement with their followers on the site.
Instagram urges marketers to “share experiences”, “find beauty everywhere” and above all, be “true to your brand”.
The online resource also points to the success of 11 brands on Instagram as proof that companies can reach out to millions of people should they use the site in an effective and creative way.
While gigaom.com states that Instagram’s new handbook is not “broadly available” to the public, there should be a way for registered agencies to get their hands on a virtual copy of the guide after the first batch of companies have received theirs.
